Session+ [txntradez]ICT SESSION+
ICT Session+ is an educational visualization tool for studying Inner Circle Trader (ICT) concepts related to institutional order flow and time-based trading strategies. It displays session killzone analysis, liquidity levels, fair value zones, and precision timing windows to help traders analyze where and when institutional activity may occur.
Institutional traders operate on specific schedules and target liquidity pools in predictable ways. This indicator synthesizes multiple complementary ICT concepts:
• TIME-BASED ANALYSIS: Tracks 7 distinct trading sessions (Asia 8 PM-12 AM, London 2-5 AM, Pre AM 7-9:29 AM, NY AM 9:30-11 AM, NY Lunch 12-1 PM, NY PM 1:30-4 PM, Midnight 12-12:30 AM ET) to identify when "smart money" may be active
• LIQUIDITY MAPPING: Session highs/lows mark where retail stop losses cluster; sweeps of these levels often precede reversals or retracements
• FAIR VALUE ZONES: 50% equilibrium and 25%/75% quartile levels within sessions show optimal entry areas
• GAP ANALYSIS: Opening Range Gaps between previous day regular trading hour close and next day regular trading hour open create imbalances institutions tend to fill
• PRECISION WINDOWS: Three Silver Bullet windows (London 3-4 AM, NY AM 10-11 AM, NY PM 2-3 PM ET) highlight concentrated institutional activity periods
• REFERENCE LEVELS: Key institutional price levels (true day open, pre-session open, opening bell, RTH close) act as magnets for price reactions
SESSION KILLZONES (7 Sessions):
Each session automatically tracks high, low, 50% midpoint, and 25%/75% quartiles. When price sweeps a session high/low then reverses, it may signal a liquidity grab. Optional "Extend Until Breached" projects lines forward until price crosses them. Displays session range in handles/ticks for volatility assessment.
SILVER BULLET WINDOWS (3 Windows):
Highlights specific 1-hour periods when directional moves may be more probable. Each window tracks high/low range and can display the range size. These windows represent potential peak institutional order flow times. Note the timing sequence for NY sessions: Opening Range (9:30-10:00 AM, first 30 min) → NY AM Silver Bullet (10:00-11:00 AM, the following hour). Similarly, NY PM Opening Range (1:30-2:00 PM) → NY PM Silver Bullet (2:00-3:00 PM).
OPENING RANGE GAP:
Identifies the gap between prior regular trading hour close and regular trading hour market open. Premium gaps (open above previous close) suggest bearish fill bias; discount gaps (open below previous close) suggest bullish fill bias. Internal 50%/quartile levels divide the gap for partial-fill analysis. Optional breach detection extends lines until price fills them.
CRITICAL CONCEPT - NY AM OPENING RANGE (9:30-10:00 AM):
The first 30 minutes after the opening bell (9:30-10:00 AM) establishes the NY AM Opening Range - the initial balance before the NY AM Silver Bullet window (10:00-11:00 AM) begins. This 30-minute period is significant for several reasons:
• Initial Balance: Captures first institutional positioning after overnight gap formation
• High/Low Reference: These boundaries become key liquidity levels for the session
• Equilibrium Targeting: The opening range 50% midpoint often acts as a magnet for retracements
• Directional Bias: Price breaking and holding above/below the opening range may indicate session direction
• Sequential Analysis: Opening Range behavior → Silver Bullet window reaction provides confluence for understanding institutional order flow
Similarly, NY PM Opening Range (1:30-2:00 PM) establishes the afternoon initial balance before the NY PM Silver Bullet window (2:00-3:00 PM).
TRADING APPLICATION:
Monitor if price respects or violates opening range boundaries. A sweep of the opening range high/low followed by reversal back inside the range may suggest a liquidity grab setup. Partial fills of the ORG that hold at opening range equilibrium could precede directional moves aligned with the gap bias.
KEY PRICE LEVELS (4 Levels):
Plots horizontal lines at specific times capturing institutional reference prices. Each level can track Open/Close/High/Low at the specified hour/minute. Optional "Extend Until Breached" stops projection when price crosses. These levels provide confluence when aligned with session zones or Silver Bullet windows.
LIQUIDITY LABELS (BSL/SSL):
Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL) marks session highs where buy stops may accumulate. Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL) marks session lows where sell stops may accumulate. These levels can be targets for institutional activity before potential reversals.
STEP 1 - ESTABLISH BIAS:
On the daily chart, determine if market structure is bullish (higher highs/lows) or bearish (lower highs/lows). Note the gap type: discount gap = bullish bias, premium gap = bearish bias.
STEP 2 - IDENTIFY LIQUIDITY:
On 5m-15m chart, mark prior session highs/lows. Watch for obvious levels with sweep potential where BSL/SSL labels appear.
STEP 3 - WAIT FOR SILVER BULLET WINDOW:
Monitor price as a Silver Bullet window approaches. Observe if price sweeps a high/low, shows strong momentum, or returns to prior session 50%.
STEP 4 - CONFIRM ENTRY:
• EXAMPLE LONG SETUP CRITERIA: Bullish bias + price sweeps SSL during Silver Bullet window + aggressive reversal back inside session range. Potential entry on first bullish close after sweep. Stop below swept low. Targets: session 50%, then high.
• EXAMPLE SHORT SETUP CRITERIA: Bearish bias + price sweeps BSL during Silver Bullet window + aggressive reversal back inside session range. Potential entry on first bearish close after sweep. Stop above swept high. Targets: session 50%, then low.
NOTE: These are example criteria for educational purposes, not trading signals. Traders must develop and backtest their own entry rules.
STEP 5 - MANAGE RISK:
Initial stop beyond swept liquidity level. First target at session 50% or nearest quartile. Move stop to breakeven after 1:1 R:R. Trail using session levels. Final targets at opposite session extreme or gap boundary.
AVOID: Trading against daily bias, entering before Silver Bullet windows, ignoring liquidity sweeps, over-leveraging, or chasing price after windows close.
